Veteran of the Month: Robert "Bob" Ward

The Veteran of the Month is an award presented to a veteran chosen by members of the Johnson County Senior Center. The chosen veteran is recognized during the Veterans' Cafe (first Wednesday of each month) and awarded a plaque paid for by Johnson County Bank.

A U.S. Army Veteran, Bob served three years in the Vietnam War and served eight months in Saudi Arabia through the National Guard.

Proudly serving in the Honor Guard, Bob is a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoys gardening and being outdoors, and he’s been married to his lovely wife Brenda for fifty-three years.

Thank you for your service, Bob. We appreciate you and the time you’ve given to your country and community.
