Danado served in 3 branches of the United States Armed Forces-- the Marine Corps from 1974-1979, then transferred to the Navy for 2 years, and after college he served in the Army Nurse Corps for 6 years. He had reached the rank of Captain before separation from the Army.
Danado spent 20 years in Law Enforcement and 30 years in Nursing with the last 12 years as a Flight Nurse with Halo Flight of Corpus Christi, TX. He and his wife, Amelia Saltarelli retired in 2019 from Texas and moved to Mountain City for the weather and the four seasons. Since arriving in Mountain City, the Saltarellis have jumped into community service by volunteering at the Senior Center with Meals On Wheels and Danado performs health screening on Fridays for Seniors Center members. He plans on returning to school in January to pursue his FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) to be able to use his experience and knowledge in Mountain City as a primary care provider. Thank you, veterans, for your service to your country, community, and families! We truly appreciate our veterans! |
