Veteran of the Month: John Borst

The Veteran of the Month is an award presented to a veteran chosen by members of the Johnson County Senior Center. The chosen veteran is recognized during the Veterans' Cafe (first Wednesday of each month) and awarded a plaque paid for by Johnson County Bank.

A Purple Heart recipient, John served in the Marine Corps 5th Platoon 3rd Force Reconnaissance Company from December 1965 to May 1967.

John enjoys attending the center's monthly Veterans' Cafe & we are happy to have him with us!
