Notices

  • The Senior Center will be open on Wednesdays EXCEPT the first Wednesday of the month, which will be dedicated to the Veterans' Cafe.
  • Due to FTHRA food packaging changes, carry-out meals are no longer available as of July 1, 2022.
  • Congregate meals are back at the center! Drop by for lunch daily at 11:30 AM.

Center Closures

 This month, the center will be closed the following days:
Wednesday, April 1: Veteran's Cafe
Friday, April 3: Good Friday
Monday, April 6: Easter Monday
Tuesday, April 28: FTAAAD Conference

The center also closes when schools close for inclement weather, based on Johnson County school closures.
Keep an eye on our social media for any snow closures.

4/7: Blood Drive w/ Marsh Regional Blood Center 10am – 2pm All donors will receive a free t-shirt & snack!
4/8: Bingo with Ballad Rural Health
4/9: Abington Walmart trip & lunch at Cracker Barrel $5, leave center at 9:30am
4/10: Wear your blue & green to raise awareness for the over 100,000 people on the national transplant waiting list for life-saving transplants! #BlueGreenDay & join us for Bingo + a free meal sponsored by County Mayor Larry Potter
4/17: Celebrating National Poetry Month 11:30am
Join us for a Poetry Slam with Writing Club at lunch! Then test your knowledge with Team Trivia at 12:30pm
4/21: TEAMs with ETSU—medical students from ETSU will be performing Blood Pressure & Glucose Checks and getting to know the needs of Johnson County from 10am to 2pm
4/22: Movie Matinee 12:30pm, showing Secondhand Lions
4/23: Lovable Ladies Shopping Trip $5 lunch at Local’s Deli & shopping trip to the FUMC Unique Boutique
4/24: What’s on your bucket list? It’s National Bucket List Day! Celebrating with Bingo sponsored by Silver Angels, Sweet treats at lunch, & Special Music by Randy Dandurand
4/25: Breakfast at Grace Meadows then Tri-Cities Alzheimer’s Tennessee Walk in Johnson City $5, leave center at 8:30am
4/27: Fine Dining with Friends—Murder Mystery Dinner hosted by Ray & Diane Branch at Know Better Coffee. See Kathy to sign up!
